ELAC (English Learners Advisory Committee)

• ELAC is the English Language Advisory Committee and is comprised of parents of children who are English Learners.
• At McKinley, we meet  in a group called 'Hablemos,' which means 'Let's Talk.'   And that is just what we do!
• We discuss parents' concerns about and desires for their children and their children's school. The meetings are generally held in Spanish, but we always translate when the need arises.
• Two or three times each year, our English Language Development Specialist makes a presentation about the programs that affect our English Learners.

HABLEMOS~ usually the second Friday of each month at 9:00 a.m. Meeting is held virtually through Zoom. The link and invite is emailed to parents of English Learners. Scheduled meetings are listed below:
