ELAC is the English Language Advisory Committee and is comprised of parents of children who are English Learners.
At McKinley, we meet in a group called 'Hablemos,' which means 'Let's Talk.' And that is just what we do!
We discuss parents' concerns about and desires for their children and their children's school. The meetings are generally held in Spanish, but we always translate when the need arises.
Two or three times each year, our English Language Development Specialist makes a presentation about the programs that affect our English Learners.
